Poor Little Rich Girl
I love my house. When I got accepted to medical school my mom hired an interior designer as a gift to me. It's warm with a contemporary edge and all the classic moldings and fixtures Georgetown townhomes are famous for.
However, everytime I watch HGTV I wish I had a fixer upper that I could redesign myself. Completely unrealistic considering how little spare time I have and will likely always have thanks to the profession I've chosen for myself. Still, I sit and fantasize about turning some ugly little hovel into a place to call my own. Of sledge hammers and carpet samples. Of new cabinets and innovative painting techniques.
Maybe if this doctor thing ever falls through I'll become an interior designer for the less fortunate. :)
