who are you;
[basics]
What should people call you?: Azar
General age: 36, but you didn't hear it from me ;-)
Location: Southern California
Occupation: Administrative Assistant/Jill of all trades/child wrangler at a tutoring center
Pets: None. :-( My building doesn't allow them.
Non-fandom hobbies: reading, writing, singing, cross-stitch, jewelry making (although that last is sort of fannish--most of my designs are kinda geeky *g*)
What are you currently reading?: Ash by Malinda Lo, Vanish by Sophie Jordan, re-reading Crystal Singer by Anne McCaffrey
What are you currently watching?: Doctor Who, How I Met Your Mother, Person of Interest, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, B5, due South
What's big in your world right now: Gallifrey One! (Doctor Who Convention--it's in two weeks and I'm almost finished putting together my cosplay for this year. Whee!) Also, a bad cough I've been fighting since Thanksgiving. :-P

[babylon 5]
Favorite character(s): Delenn, Jeffrey Sinclair, Marcus Cole, G'kar, Vir, Lennier, EVERYONE ELSE.
Favorite pairing(s)/ship(s): Sinclair/Delenn/Sheridan (hey, they're canonically One ;-) ), Sinclair/Garibaldi, Delenn/Marcus, Marcus/Franklin, Marcus/Franklin/Susan, pretty much all canon 'ships not involving Sinclair (not intentional, I'm just not a big fan of any of his canon girlfriends). *g*
Favorite quote: I can't pick just one! Does "anything that comes out of Delenn's, Ivanova's, G'kar's or Marcus's mouth" count? ;-)
Favorite scene: "Dear God. A Minbari not born of Minbari." That whole revelation is one of my favorite twists in any media, and a HUGE part of the reason I love both WWE and Sinclair so much.
Favorite species: the Minbari
Favorite episode: "War Without End" parts 1&2
Least favorite character(s): Catherine Sakai (the premise of the character is fine, I just don't like the actress's performance), Byron
Least favorite species: there's a few I'm apathetic about, but none that I actively dislike.
Who would you like to have dinner with?: For the conversation? G'kar. For the food? Garibaldi.
Who'd you like to have a drink (or favorite non-alcoholic beverage) with?:
One (or a few) of your favorite headcanons about the show:
The original Nine were earlier incarnations of people who Sinclair knew and loved in his human life. Delenn really *did* meet Valen in his temple as a child (the story she told in C&E), although I play with different theories as to how he was able to be there. ...yeah, I have no headcanon for anyone else that isn't AU. ;-)

[fandom]
What are your other main fandoms: Doctor Who, How I Met Your Mother, Person of Interest, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, due South, Quantum Leap, Mysterious Ways, Criminal Minds, Avengers, a rotating cast of others. *g*
Non-B5 character(s) you will flail over: Too many to list, but all time favorites are probably Al Calavicci, Elizabeth Weir, Martha Jones, Charley Pollard, Amanda King, John Doggett, the Brig, Sarah Jane Smith, Hoshi Sato, Miranda Fiegelsteen, Robin Scherbatsky, Ted Mosby, Chuck Bartowski, Albert Campion, Amanda Fitton, Harriet Vane, Tuppence Beresford, Lucy Pevensie, Aslan, Reepicheep, Ozma, Annabeth Chase, Ray Vecchio, and right now: John Reese, Joss Carter, Penelope Garcia. Still not a complete list, though. ;-)
Non-B5 ship(s) that give you FEELINGS: Again, really too many to list, but I 'ship across the genres and I have a soft spot for resolving a love triangle as a threesome. ;-) You can check my fic to get a better/more specific idea.
How do you participate in fandom (fic, art, vids, etc): fic, art, vids (as soon as I reteach myself how to do it on my new computer *g*), cosplay, jewelry making
Favorite genre: sci-fi/fantasy, especially time travel
Favorite actors and actresses: Dean Stockwell, Alisen Down, Freema Agyeman, Bruce Boxleitner, Peter Davison, DB Sweeney, Zachary Levi, Laurie Holden, Robert Patrick, Robert Davi, Julie Andrews, Ving Rhames, Gillian Anderson, etc.
Other fandom notes: I am a fandom butterfly, so this does not even BEGIN to cover everything I've dabbled in (or even spent years obsessing over). If it was on in the 90s? I probably saw and loved it. ;-) More recent shows, there's a better chance I missed it (while rewatching something from the 80s/90s most likely ;-) ) but still the odds are good I've at least heard of it. :-)

Anything else: I'm hoping to go to the cast reunion at Phoenix Comicon in May. I'll be cosplaying Amanda King from S&MK since there's no way I'll be able to finish my dream B5 cosplays by then (Susan's black uniform, a female Ranger).

I don't really have much of a .gif collection. Yet.

I've already friended you a while back it seems, but a thousand times yes to Jeff/John/Delenn. <3 How can you not? I am also intrigued by your headcanon for the original Grey Council...I'd like to read that fic someday.

Am also in awe of plan to cosplay as Susan--is that as a Ranger or as Army of Light?

The Army of Light uniform. :-) Sheridan's uniform is currently on display at the Paley Center, which is not far from me, so I've already got plans to go down there with my camera and take oodles of pictures for fabric matching. However, this is probably a LONG way off, since I am only just now learning to sew.

The female Ranger would be a separate thing, an original character so to speak.

Oh maaan, the Army of Light uniform sounds both ambitious and totally amazing! And the female Ranger...is basically what I'd do if I had *any* cosplay skills at all (well, if I couldn't pull off Delenn). That'd be exactly where I'd insert myself into that universe, oh yes. ;)

Awesome. You should feel awesome. And then do it. XD

Ooh. I'm definitely going to PCC so I might see you there! I'm planning to cosplay as Amelia Earhart, because it requires no sewing skills whatsoever, only finding a relevant jacket and digging out other things from my closet. That Susan cosplay sounds amazing though. I've always loved that uniform of hers.

Awesome! If you see someone wandering around in a nightgown, a coat and an eighties haircut, that's me. ;-)

The Susan cosplay will probably be for somewhere down the road. I am never going to be able to pull it off by May, not with my extremely-beginner sewing skills. :-/

Yes, of course! I'm actually kind of amazed I don't have you friended already: I know I've used your icons and animations in the past! :-) Will add you right away.
