PART TWO (though oops I appear not to have copy/pasted my answers so let's try this again)
blue sector; [fandom] What are your other main fandoms: For some reason, I am still part of the Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice fandom despite not having watched either show in years except for the GA musical episode and the PrP finale (I wish I knew how to quit you). I write mostly in Grey's, Stargate SG-1, and Babylon 5. But that does branch out. I fell headfirst into The Borgias this December, and have an unofficial goal of writing an Ashes To Ashes AU for every fandom I'm in. ALSO LEVERAGE omg Leverage, I miss you already show. Various incarnations of Star Trek. This paragraph has ceased making sense. Non-B5 character(s) you will flail over: Amelia Earhart (yes, she's a real person, but I have serious feelings about her). NARCISSA FREAKING MALFOY is just perfection in a dye job. Uhmm, I want Vannozza dei Cattanei on my side during a zombie apocalypse because she is the best team mom a lady could ask for and has the most epic

I...may have an addiction to making fanmixes. "Lady Stardust" is probably my favorite right now, but that might be because it corresponds to my favorite under-5K fic I've ever written (also because I just really love the cover).
fanmixes are my favoritesest favorite things, although i usually beg covers from someone else :P currently in the process of actually putting all my old mixes up there instead of just having a whole bunch of youtube links collected in various lj posts haha
Oh, so YOU are the one responsible for Our Last Best Hope For A Decent Tailor! I love that thing. Also I adore your Susan stanning for March Madness next year. And I've seen you and your fic about...why haven't I friended you yet? NOW I HAVE. <3
I don't think I'll be stanning for Susan this year. I also run SF/F March Madness and w o w was it stressful modding the thing and campaigning. I'm hoping someone else will take up the mantle.
(Er, I did mean "last year" above, IDEK how that happened...)
I didn't realize you were modding SF/F March Madness as WELL as campaigning! Good grief. Well, I can promise to stan for Delenn next time, but if it comes down to Susan vs pretty much anyone else I'll see what I can do to promote her too. :D
So are you running it in March again this year? Maybe this time I will get in on it before the semifinals...!
I think so. Last year it was born out of annoyance that basically every fandom I care about had been axed in favor of shit I hate, and was hastily thrown together in three hours. So with some extra planning, it should be managed better (especially if I'm not campaigning) with fewer skipped characters (still can't believe I left off Gandalf). Also better graphics, as I have Photoshop this year and won't be scrounging with a five year-old version of Paintshop at work.
HELEN/AMELIA. I know Amanda's referenced them in the Sanctuary commentaries, and I really wish there was more about them. I have a few stories up on AO3 and a fanmix, and I think I'm the pilot of this particular airship.
For my NaNoWriMo in 2011, I ended up writing (very incoherent) fic about those two and fell headfirst into it as my Sanctuary OTP to end all OTPs: Amelia's plane hit a temporal anomaly, and she ended up crashing in HG Wells' back yard; in exchange for her installing a geographical navigation system (because Wells' time machine can only travel in time, not space, and that's kind of useless for a time machine), he built her a machine of her own and she's been trying ever since to get back to 1937, but it's not working (insert handwaving about "time protecting itself" and how she was supposed to disappear); she runs into Helen during Helen's 113 years of solitude; through some badly-explained timeline nonsense, WWI got all out of whack and because they were the only ones who knew how it was supposed to turn out, they

I didn't know Amanda had referenced them that is too cool. But I love your ideas of them blundering into HG Wells (he's one of my favourite authors) and I like the idea of them spending a LOT of time during Helen's years of solitude, I can totally see them tumbling around Europe together. :)
I think it's in a DVD commentary for one of the first episodes of S2 (or S3? Whenever the picture in the opening credits changes to Amelia instead of Einstein or Gandhi). She mentions that she's pretty sure Helen and Amelia had a Thing, wink wink.
Okay, at the risk of being that annoying self-promoter... danger, danger, this might hurt; Amelia teaches Helen how to fly (not part of that time travel story mentioned above) patchwork land; this is really the only bit so far I've managed to rewrite into something presentable; it's when Amelia first runs into Helen during the years of solitude. and the light that's out there (just hangs in the air); this fits somewhere magically into the time travel story, but stands on its own - it was part of my (sadly uncompleted because I burned out) Fic Advent Calendar last year; I also had a bit of a Krampus situation going on right then.
And if you're in the mood for music, little specks of sand is the soundtrack/fanmix for the entire time travel story/project/whatever I'm calling it.
