My first post of 2006 was a New Year's Resolution from a meme. It read, quite simply:

In the year 2006 I resolve to:

Grow some new friends.

I definately did grow new friends. John, Dana, Becky, Sarah, xsoupx, and quite a few of Katie's friends.

Here's my 2006 in review.

According to LJ, my year started out with quite a few Memes, but the year also started out, as it always does, with skating. This time, a bronze medal, and then time for classes to start. A boy I met at the bar (and really like) finally broke up with his girlfriend, though he wasn't ready for any kind of relationship, since he'd been with her for two years or so. That was really too bad, because I had another boy just waiting for me, and as much as I tried to wait out John's unreadiness, it just didn't happen. Broke up with Erik in July, halfway through my job on the county roadcrew, and found out John was moving to Halifax for school, and was sad. I joined Facebook, and discovered several schoolmates from the old days who I have not seen in years. Finally got to paint my room. Made new friends at orientation, and in classes. Discovered new music, new websites, and new obsessions. 2006 was peppered with lots of garage sales, and good deals, new friends and old ones, good music, great music (shitty music too), movies, games, questions, drama, war, healing, new holes. It was full of learning, thinking, talking, growing, eating, moving, drinking, laughing, crying, kissing, hugging, painting, cooking, and dancing. It has been a good year.

Here's to 2007 being even better.

john, drama, friends, erik, new year
