TITLE: Dancing on Bare Mountain

SUMMARY: Spike & Dru travelling Europe; pre-Prague as well as pre-series. This was inspired by listening to Mussorgsky and remembering the imagery from Disney's Fantasia.
She whirled and leapt and laughed.
Spike watched her nervously.
Volcano was ready for a hissy fit and he wanted to be elsewhere.
Very elsewhere; it having got noticably warmer underfoot.
He was tempted to light his fag from the furnace below.
Dru screamed in terror.
As if she was aflame.
Within seconds he was at her side as she moaned at something in her head.
"Daddy?"
He looked around hurriedly.
Nothing.
"What is it, baby?"
She answered. "Grandmama doesn't want me to dance."
Her Grandmother?
Cursing, he knew what would get her moving.
"Time to move honey. Daddy's calling."
