Every so often Jenny cycled the markets; making supper the old way.
Experiencing the ingredients infusing over the fire brought back old memories.
Very old; she was far too young to have known life on the road.
Usually Burning Man expiated her other needs, but that Librarian and his band of kids fed thoughts she'd happily imagined put to one side.
Studying the physical forces gently turning; creating her meal, the signs were not good.
She could not see the face she wanted to see.
Rupert was not there.
She saw his face; old and dark.
All else was darkness.
Goddess watch over us all,
