Watching local news, Anya said, “I don’t understand what this means, throw the race card?”
Xander sighed and attempted to come up with an explanation Anya would get. “It means injecting the issue of someone’s race into a conversation. That’s what people call it.”
“But what if the person’s race is very clearly a key point in the discussion?”
“It’s just that racial differences are something people don’t like to talk about, so it’s viewed negatively.”
“Well, that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard all week”, Anya replied. Easy to say for someone who always spoke her mind without hesitation.
