Spike heard Dawn studying in the kitchen, sighing often. Then he heard her curse and thump her head against the table. He couldn’t let that go; Spike went into the kitchen and asked what was wrong.
“World History. I’m never going to remember all this about WWI. There’s so much of who’s attacking who and why and which countries team up…”
Grateful that it wasn’t algebra or chemistry, Spike said, “You know I lived through that, right? Maybe I could help?”
“Rescue me from failing this test? Please, yes!”
Dawn’s bright smile was worth skipping today’s episode of Dr. Phil.
