Cordelia pouts as the only real hunk in Sunnydale breezes right pass her to care for Buffy. The girl has zero taste and little skill anywhere else other than staking Vampires. Yet, because she's the one saving the world, she's also the only one for whom he seems to have time. It wouldn't matter, she thinks, if she dressed as a cat or a harlot or threw herself naked to his feet. He's still blind to her, no matter what she does. Xander reaches for her instead. She tolerates him for now, but one day, she swears, she'll have Angel.

Angel quietly watches Cordelia quickly rehearsing. She's a terrible actress but would still be better if she wasn't thinking about her fifth date of the week. He shifts uncomfortably. He needs to go kill something, his only distraction from thoughts of Cordy. He will kill something some time tonight. He'll save the world again as always, but because he doesn't have wealth or the kind of fame she seeks, she remains blind to him. She hurries out the door as a horn honks, leaving him alone to grumble, "You'd think a guy who saves the world could get some loving."

Two men watch the destined lovers, unseen by both. Even if they were as blind as they act, they still would not see the specters.

"Is he kiddin', man?"

Dennis shakes his head. "Sadly, no."

Doyle smacks a hand against his forehead. He'd wanted Cordelia, but now he only wants her to be happy. "I should've lived long enough tae hook those two up tagether."

"If only we could intervene -- "

"Ye knae th' rules."

"Yes, but I fear they're going to die blind."

"If they di, we'll kick their asses when they get here."

"Maybe then they can have their happy ending."

The End
