Spike admits it, he's not exactly a quiet person.
He enjoys conversations, for the most part, but he also liked to scream and shout and laugh and be loud. Ever since he was turned to a vampire, he's kept the part of him that enjoyed sitting in the quiet to write poems buried deep beneath him, forever one would think.
And yet, here he was, his arms wrapped around Buffy, holding her tight without uttering a single word, and he could honestly say that he hadn't been happier in his entire life, neither as a vampire nor as a human.

Disappointed, she stands up and leaves without a word. It's better like this, he tries to tell himself, but he knows it's not. Ever since Buffy, he's never thought himself able to love someone again, and then along came Nina... a beautiful woman with a heart of gold who he was starting to fall for.
But war was coming, and he couldn't allow her to get caught in the crossfire. Silently, he turns around and walks back into the darkness, where he belongs.
