Once upon a time, before everything had gone haywire, Anya spent her lazy Saturday mornings snuggled in bed with Xander watching cartoons. He’d never understood her paralysing fear of bunnies, but had tried in his way to help her overcome it.
The jaunty overture would play then Bug’s wacky adventures began, with Anya secretly rooting for Elmer Fudd, hoping that this time the wascally wabbit got his comeuppance.
Fears finally conquered, sword raised ready to fight, the theme tune runs through her head once more.
“On with the show,” she tells herself with conviction. “This is it.”
