I knew Angel wondered why I didn’t leave to find Buffy.

I had planned to do just that.

Then we lost Fred. Dear sweet, quirky, gentle Fred.

I had gotten close to Fred.

She helped me realize I needed to change for myself.

Before it had always been about wooing a girl.

I wrote bloody awful poetry for Cecily.

I became a monster for Drusilla.

I fought for my soul for Buffy.

Fred accepted me for who I was.

I want to honor her memory.

I am still only a demon with a soul, but trying to do her proud.
