Wesley loves Fred completely, eternally. In his anguish following her death, this is all he knows.
Then there's a pretty box, pretty pieces. Memories of pain and desolation rush back; last year - the alienation, Lilah - suddenly makes sense.
For five minutes, he never thinks of Fred.
That night, after waking from a nightmare of blood and shiny axes, he finds Lilah perched at his side.
