The library door flew open, thudding against the wall. A hush fell over the assembled Scoobies.
Joyce Summers stalked into the room.
Ignoring the teenagers, she went directly to loom menacingly over Giles’ chair. “Where is she?” Joyce demanded.
“Mrs. Summers, this is not the best time -” Giles began, voice high and tight.
“It’s the perfect time. I’ve looked all over town for Buffy - talked to all her friends, hit all her usual haunts. There’s no sign of her anywhere for days. What have you done with my daughter?”
Xander swallowed. This was a showdown for the ages.
