“Falling”
When Anya first becomes human again, it feels as if her wings have been clipped. Before, she’d been powerful and majestic, soaring around the globe to punish men and exact vengeance. Now she’s trapped in this fragile, clumsy body, stuck on Earth's surface while she watches her former friends glide away without her. She slowly adjusts to humanity, but despite the passage of time she still yearns for that power, for the freedom lost.
Then D’Hoffryn restores her, makes her whole again. With a smile, she spreads her wings, leaps into the air, and realizes she’s forgotten how to fly.
