I'm so sorry but have no time to write a new drabble for this prompt. I offer this one done a few years back!
When you told a story, you could always make it finish the way you wanted, give every one a happy ever after, tie up the loose ends, bring the lovers together for ever.
Andrew sat on the school bus and in his head feverishly rewrote the past few hours. He would do something brave - say something wise. Make a little joke about - that. But it was no use. He began to shake. His friends had gone and he could never bring them back.
