It's just a stupid town election, but Tara’s dad really wants a friend of his to win, so he takes her out of school, despite her English test.

Tara can feel him listening from outside the voting booth and it makes her both suffocated and angry. Her hand presses the button for another, random candidate.

Wow, pre-series Tara, now that's something I haven't seen.

Love this look at her character, so downtrodden and still so good at heart. And hopeful, too. Do I need to go listen to "Under Your Spell" now? I might.

I wrote Tara for manifesto, but didn't get around to posting, so I wanted to write her this week.

You should listen to Under Your Spell regardless, because it's awesome. Although I love the reprise because of the (fancy musical term for interweaving of voices) of Tara and Giles's voices.

Tara's past is actually quite hidden, which I like a lot. But she is so adorable with Willow that you kind of forget that you know her life mostly in very broad strokes.
