Wow. A well-written, respectful look at future Riley and family-- that's always unexpected. And <3 the prayer. It had a very warm and genuine feeling to it.

I recently watched Who Are You and noticed that, when the vamps were holding the parishioners hostage and Buffy-in-Faith arrived at the church, she asked Riley how he got there so quickly. He said, "I didn't. I was just late for church." So I figured Riley would probably say grace with his kids, too.

How ironic, that Riley has a daughter who is a slayer! But yeah, this rings true to the character (churchgoing Iowa farmboy).

Greta will make a good slayer, too, because the Finns are all about the MISSION.

Yeah, I thought it would be nice if at least one of the families who suddenly found themselves with a mini-Slayer for a daughter, understood what was going on. *G*

Though I suppose Riley's first assumption was that Buffy had died. Oh dear. Plot Bunny.

My guess is Riley would be terrified. *G* He knows, after all, what his little girl would be facing.

But I bet he'd suck it up and be a good mentor. Lots of training but not too overprotective.

Like Willow, I was all prepared to hate Samantha for Buffy's sake. *g* But I liked her by the end of the ep.

As for Riley, well he was a jerk on occasion, but then so were most of the boys at times. And if I can love Spike, who takes the cake at jerkitude, I guess I gotta be generous. *G*
