Buffy and her father
Buffy sat on the couch in a daze with little Dawnie. This wasn’t happening! Daddy wouldn’t really leave, would he? He couldn’t though, he was daddy!
He is supposed to be there, always. Had she messed up? Had Dawn? Was it their fault? Was it hers?
How could a daddy leave his girls? Didn’t he want to watch them grow up? Didn’t he care about them?
If it was her fault why was he leaving mommy and Dawnie too?
As her mother came and sat with the girls all Buffy could think of was, “At least mommy will stick around.”

Buffy and Angel
Tears flowed from Buffy’s eyes as she woke. She hated that he left, so she’d have a normal life he said.
HA! A Slayer with a normal life, what a joke!
He said he loved her, said that she was his soul mate, but he left. Now she has to deal with it, has to deal with life sans Angel and it sucked. Maybe she was just young and foolish but she thought relationships and love were about helping one another and standing by each other.
Had she done something wrong? Why couldn’t he stick around? Wasn’t she good enough?

Buffy and Riley
Buffy looked at the crumpled picture of Riley. He had been so good for her. If only he could have just gotten over his feelings of inferiority things would have been great. He was smart and sexy and knew about the things that went bump in the night. He had made a great impression on her mom, a first for her. But no, he couldn’t just be happy with HER, he had to be an idiot and let vamps bite him, for the rush!
She shoved the picture back into her pocket. She should have known he wouldn’t stick around.
