Faith strides through the darkened streets. She senses things moving in the shadows, but they melt away at her approach. They know not to screw with her. Funny how Buffy's had three years to make the vamps and demons run, and they haven't.
Faith's different. She's got the killer instinct. She's got the Mayor too. She's his lieutenant, and people -- well, not people but Things -- know it.
Soon the Mayor will ascend and this town will be hers. He promised her that, that she'll be at his right hand then, too.
She'll be queen here, and Buffy will be nobody.
