Is this mercury retrograde and nobody told me?
V knocked over a glass of water on my laptop over the weekend, rendering it... toast.
This, one year and one month after having said laptop's hard drive rebuilt for the cost of 2 MacBooks. And not getting any of the old files back (well, unless you count photos that people sent back to me).
It is sitting next to the Kodak digital camera that V dropped on the floor 2 weeks ago that no longer works.
It's almost funny, in a not so funny way.
The bonus?
I got a KICKIN' NEW DELL LAPTOP TODAY FOR DIRT CHEAP!

Seriously - this laptop is f'in amazing.
It is a studio 17 model; has an Intel dual processor, 4 GB of memory, 320GB hard drive, 9 cell battery, 17" monitor, and my personal favorite feature:
facial recognition security.
This means that every time I log into a site, it takes my picture, so eventually, I won't have to log into sites with my PW... it will see my face and automatically authorize me.
And it also means that hacking will be much less likely.
Loving it!
In other news, I rubbed Weleda fennel toothpaste all over V after her bath tonight. It was in the same packaging as the Baby Cream. Bad marketing, Weleda. I mean, c'mon. you sell to mothers with babies. we have very little brain power. Make the baby products all one color scheme, the toothpaste, a different scheme.
