Yay! Now that my identity needs no longer be secret, your yulegoat can "send a raven" to your LJ. I've actually read some of your Crusher/Janeway fic in the past, I think it might have been a rec from sophia-gratia.

I've already said it, but I am so glad that you liked this. Believe me -- I had doubts about doing something so odd!

I have to give a lot of credit to one of my betas, randomizer, who is also both a Trekkie and a fan of TGW. She did a lot of hand-holding and orders to "make it so" when I was contemplating this idea. And she's responsible for the idea in the first place -- she was the one who compared Alicia to a Vulcan. I then pondered the smutty possibilities of Alicia and pon farr about a year ago. I even prompted it to great mystification (and no fill!) at the last TGW Ficathon.

Then we got matched on TGW and I read your LJ your love of Trek was obvious. You also stated you loved "magical fpreg" and then everything fell into place in my head. (As someone in a same-sex relationship with a three-year-old and a six-month-old it was fun to write!)

randomizer rode to the rescue again in beta reading, by suggesting that I write a prologue to establish the universe the crossover was taking place in AND pointing out that Lwaxana and Veronica were basically the same person and a scene between them discussing their daughters would do the trick!
