History: Chris was born in Leeds to a formerly hippy family. They were all for freedom of speech, freedom of expression. Her father believed that not only was it okay for his children to question their beliefs, but to research and choose things for themselves.
She was the eldest of the three kids. And frequently took the train to stay in London, with her eccentric Aunt Margret. There in London she saw a lot. She saw her first hate crime. It was also where she got her first kiss.
Chris has always been attracted to girls, and in truth none of her family had explained that the normal belief of sexuality was supposed to be one male one female. They explained it like you were attracted to your soul mate. You would know the moment you met your other half...and only then would you realize that you were incomplete without them.
She came out to her parents at the age of sixteen, after she ended up in the hospital after a gay bashing. Her parents took it well. But her brothers...not so much. Her next move was becoming very active in the GLBT rights movement in London. She was a regular at a lot of clubs, but avoided the drug scene as she liked her brain.
Though she has gotten in trouble several times for stating her opinion, she doesn't like violence. Fencing isn't violence, you can't kill anyone. It's a lot about defense, speed, quickness. In fencing for every move there is a counter move, for every counter move there is a counter attack. It isn't only about how fast you are, it is how fast you can think ahead.
Some say fencing takes luck, other's say skill. Chris' opinion is fencing is an art form, a stress relief, and the only way she truly lashes out beyond words. Fencing is a true test of the sharpness of one's mind, not the sharpness of their sword.
After she started college, her middle brother started to come around to the idea, that Chris liked girls, the youngest brother, still doesn't quite get it, but maybe someday.
Personality: Chris is a dare-devil and a risk taker. She loves doing wild and crazy things and partying. She says what’s on her mind and often offends people. She sticks up for what she believes in and cares deeply for her friends. She’s a proud lesbian and flaunts her pride when she has to, which can lead to bad situations, but she tries to fix them as quickly as possible or leave the situation.
Appearance and dress: She is somewhat butch, but at the same time femme with her looks. She enjoys dressing like a boy, but knows when she should wear more feminine clothing. Her hair is cut short in a sort of shag. She can be seen most often in shirts and jeans, with the occasional hat thrown into the mix.
