LJ still exists?
Let's see if I still remember how to do this. This is a...journal, right? And I used to catalog the occasional important thing in my life here? Huh.
So, I went to Scotland, way back at the beginning of the summer. That was pretty fabulous. I'm thinking about whether or not I can convince everyone I love to move there en masse with me...because really, it was stunning. But it does lose something when you're missing people a lot.
Since then, I've been running all over. I've been spending a lot of time with my best friend, A., I visited Disneyland with Mike, another of my best friends, thedogstarlives , my siblings were down visiting for a couple weeks at my parents' house, M. and I are getting along very well, we've finally found another roommate, etc. There's too much to catch up on at that point, but overall, it's been an exhausting summer. Exhausting and marvelous.
Presently, a good, steady summer rain is coming down (thank you for cooperating for once, California), I'm signed up for all the classes I want for the fall (and taking one with A., hurrah!), and my new housemate will be moving in on Saturday. I'll be meeting her Sunday evening, after I get back from San Francisco. I'm headed there this weekend to celebrate Mike's twenty seventh birthday, which is today. (By the way, happy birthday again, love.) There will be much rejoicing, probably a nice dinner, visits with Mike's friends, etc. I'm pretty excited, especially for the cake I'm making. Here's to hoping that turns out...
Anyway, maybe now that I've gotten over the hurdle of actually starting to write on LJ again after the long absence, I'll keep up again on more than just reading my flist. I hope you're all well.
