Inappropriate child humour
My favourite burger joint's signature "thing" is to put a slice of pickle on top of the bun. When you eat it, you're supposed to stick it in the burger yourself. I don't know why. It's just a thing.
Every time I order from there, Little E looks expectantly at the slice of pickle. I ask her if she wants a bite, but she says no. Instead, she likes to lick it just to get a little taste. When I offer it again, she still won't bite it, but will suck on the pickle juice.
Sigh. It's all I can do to keep a straight face. It's hard enough to say "do you want a bite of my pickle?". Go ahead and insert your own inappropriate phrase here.
