I've been working like a mad woman getting ready for my second session at Pacifica. To that end, I've been at the Beast's since last Friday, because I can't do anything at home. His internet access has been a God-send!
I've had my nose stuck in the Bhagavad Gita for the last 3 days, and the Ramayana before that, but its okay. I'm getting to know Sita and Arjuna really well. Arjuna's awesome and one of my favorite Heroes in mythology, not just Hindu. I present on some aspect that I most connect with on Tuesday, and I know that is going to be the concept of doing ones duty despite emotional attachment, purposefully duty as being ones mission, born for purpose. I think I understand arranged marriages now.
Also, Earth Girl Arjuna makes so much sense now! I rewatched the ending episode and after studying Hindu philosophy, I finally understand what was going on, because for the longest time I was confused as all hell.
As for Classics, this section is much easier than Oedipus. I am really enjoying the Homeric Hymns and I sped through Sappho. I haven't touched my Jung and Freud yet, just because I know its going to make my brain hurt, but we must what we must.
Other than my scholastic pursuits, life's been pretty regular. Spend my weekends alternating between my bed and Ian's, and looking for work. I haven't been posting lately, because I haven't been up to it, no matter how much is going on, or what's been on my mind. I get regular calls from He Who Whispers Spanish Into My Ear, where I work it out.
. . . . I love it when he does that . . . . . :) Excuse me, I need a moment. . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . Nope! Gonna need more than that! So I'm gonna go see if I can get the man I love off of WoW long enough to whisper Spanish in my ear. Later.
