My Pink Wonder

I miss my scooter. I want to go out scooting right now.

This is Sunny. I decided on this name, because when I was looking for comparison pricing, stats, and regular trouble-shooting, I came across a picture of the scooter model with silver decals that read "SUNNY" on the sides and I thought that was the model name. Which was weird, because I thought it was just a Znen 150cc, so I did a little searching and found this on PinkScoot.com:

This (above) is a Lance Venice, the big sister of the Lance Charming (below):

I LOVE the Charming! Its got the two-tone, front head-lights, bare vintage feel that I love about scooters! But I also love my scooter, because it goes faster than 40 MPH! (Ian got her up to 60 when we went out last weekend!)

Anyway, the point I'm making is that the company that makes them is a Chinese company named ZNEN, so their both Znen's, and their model name, Lance, indicates these are basically the Vespa knock-offs.

The Charming is just that! So cute it makes my eyes hurt, but it doesn't go very fast; its only a 50cc engine. The Venice, which is a 150cc engine, is more Vespa-style, goes faster, and what I will pay off at the end of this month! Woot Woot! I can't wait to get the pink slip! Added bonus, according to California law, I only need an M2 license to be street legal on a moped!

Having both would make me feel more secure when I go out putting around the neighborhood. Ian wanted to go up into the canyon last weekend, but when I told him that we were on a scooter with expired tags, no pink slip, no insurance, and no way of validating that it is not stolen, I thought it was a better idea to err on the side of caution. My parents backed me up on this. He backed down, albeit sulkily, but I promised him that when I get her registered, we can go wherever we want without fear . . except the freeway.

That being said, I need to get back to earning the money to pay Sunny off. Until next time, my freaky darlings! Peace
