I hate allergies.
I hate allergy season.
I hate 90% humidity to complicate the not being able to breathe from allergies thing.
I hate not being able to sleep because of not being able to breathe.
I hate not being able to take good otc allergy meds that would knock me out for a day.
I also hate cooking, but that's a whole different can of worms.
On a related note, Athena hit a huge milestone in growing up last Friday. Nick was here to pick her up for the weekend, she didn't want to stop playing with her friends. I was kind enough to get her and get her to the car and in the car for him (more than he does for me when I'm supposed to pick her up... he lets her goof off instead of getting ready - yep, mommy's always the bad guy).
And the milestone in development is... her first "I HATE YOU!" to a parent.
It hurts, its heart wrenching (and sort of funny), but it is a part of them growing up and showing their independence and blossoming personality. Its one of the steps that separates them from who you sculpted them to be into who they are. Hopefully all the lessons (and those to come) stick with them, but they are no longer the child that idolizes you and tries to be exactly the same person that you are.
