Here is my last entry for my 2008 Book Log. Apparently, I had dragons on the brain when choosing books to read during the last month or so.

Dragonspell is the first of five novels published from 2004 through 2008. I enjoyed reading Dragonspell and plan on continuing the series. Kale is a young girl who has been a slave all her life. She finds a dragon egg and the elders of her village send her along with the egg to Paladin. Kale almost makes it to Paladin's Hall when her adventure begins. Along the way she discovers she is a dragon keeper and meets magical beings including a very old wizard. I'm curious to see what new adventures await Kale as she starts her training at The Hall (a school) in service to Paladin.

The Inheritance Cycle was originally supposed to be a trilogy but will now conclude in a fourth book. I eagerly await the next book.
