I've started working with the merchant, though I don't know how long this job is going to last. Especially with all of the obligations for the faction, it seems like my time might be more consumed then I ever thought, haha. I guess that is part of growing up? Though if I had have gone into the Pro Leagues it would have been so much easier. But ( Read more... )

A sickness that affects your dreams? I've never heard of something like that. But I was worried a while ago that this place did something to your memories...

Oh, that's what I thought...but it never hurts to ask. I mean, with as much weird stuff that I've seen here and at home, a dream-sickness doesn't seem that too far-fetched. But your memories? Why your memories? You're not forgetting something, are you?

Somebody I know did. I don't think she remembers the last two years at all.

Oh? How strange...She seemed fine otherwise, then?

Yeah. She seemed just like herself. It was like she'd suddenly forgotten everything, because she says she came here after something that happened two years ago.

?

How can something like that be? I mean, I've seen magic and other weird things here. And I think it might be -- or something like that. Because you've never heard of something called Duel Monsters, right? And someone came here from practically another universe. It seems like some of us are from different worlds, so to say.

You think so? I'm glad I'm not the only one! I'm not sure how this is all happening, either. At first I thought there might be other worlds again, like the world used to be. But that would have been fixed already, and I've never seen the things some of these people write or heard of the places they talk about.

When everybody told me about this place Raine mentioned that it was unknown, and far away, but I didn't think it would be like this.

But I don't think this is entirely separate from home, either. I feel like I'd know if that happened.

Like the world use to be? Uh...I don't know about that so much, so maybe that is something your-world-exclusive? But, yeah, I do think that 'other worlds' would be the most reasonable explanation. Because I've heard all kinds of strange things about strange places. Even your Luin, from the boat.

And yes, I don't think it is. I mean...we all got here, right?

You've never heard of Luin? What about Meltokio? Or Sybak, or Asgard, or Palmacosta?

No, that won't work. If you didn't know about Sylvarant and Tethe'alla, you probably really aren't from there.

This is so strange.

Nope, not a one! Sound like lovely places, however! Such strange spellings~. And what now about Sylvarant and Tehte'alla?

It is strange, and makes about as much sense as the twelve dimensions from 'my world'! But that is just how things go.

Twelve dimensions? I've never heard of something like that.

Um...Sylvarant and Tethe'alla are two parts of the world, where I come from. They were separated from each other thousands of years ago, but then a couple years ago they were reunited again.

It really is as simple as it sounds. There are twelve dimensions in the world I am from, and you can travel between them if you can manage to make a portal or bridge between them. Or find one.

Separated? How does that work, exactly? And reunited? That must have been...interesting. Epic, maybe? Hee...I think I did something similar? I created a bridge between two dimensions, at least.

I'm not sure how the worlds were separated, exactly, and I only know a little bit more about how they came together again. Most of the Sylvaranti like me never knew there were two worlds until they were reunited, and my memories of that time aren't very good.

...And you bridged two dimensions? Really? How did you manage that?

Oh? When were they reunited? When you were younger?

Hah, Rainbow Dragon did it!

It happened two years ago, so that's right.

You say Rainbow Dragon did it? Is that...one of the monsters in the family you were talking about?

? Why do you not remember it too well then, if it was only so long ago? And that girl you were talking about, did she remember it?

But yes, you are right. Rainbow Dragon was the last one to be found. The other seven -- imagine, one for each colour of the rainbow -- found me earlier. We may not be nuclear, be we are awesome, hah!
