( ni) ~ The Sounds of Settling - Public
So, after a day of searching I think I have managed to find some pretty good deals...Money has never been a problem for me before, so all of this was a bit new. I always knew there was a lot to pay for, but not this much. Luckily, things seem to be falling in place, somewhat. I've found several places that I'll be able to afford on my own, though they are far away from where I want to work, at the port. But I don't want to stay too close to the port, either, since a lot of stuff happens up here in the other tiers, too.
Anyway, I also found a pretty nice merchant who seemed to be interested in both hiring me and providing me with lodgings above his store. Though, he also mentioned that it wasn't always safe for people to work alone in the ports. Or something like that. I can't imagine anything like theft ever happening here. He's probably just paranoid about his merchandise. Or maybe he just wants me to help him fill up all the extra space in his house. The guy was so convivial, and so happy just to talk.
Anyway.
So I'll see about that, getting someone else to talk to him. In the meantime...he seemed pretty hyped to even get some help around his shop and having an errand boy on constant post. (And to bug with his every thought, haha.)
So, heh, what to do?
In the meantime, Polyxene seems to have my back. Sweet girl, she really is. I am not too sure about all this talk of guilds, however. Though, I think at the moment the Virtuoso seems like my best option for what I need. Plus, how great would it be to know what everyone is thinking and going through? Can't get much more personal than that.
Gah, I still have no idea what I am doing, however. Where is all of this leading me?
