This being a live *journal*, I guess I should probably do some actual journal-ish writing...
Well, to start, I was witness to an impromptu ballet performance just yesterday. I was cutting through Columbus Circle when, lo and behold, I saw a young man and woman performing a pas de deux. The woman had on kind of a gauzy pink dress, and even had toeshoes and everything. The guy literally looked just like any other guy: gray jacket, jeans, sneakers. Which, in my opinion, just made the entire thing even better. There were lifts and supported pirouettes, the whole shebang! I have no idea how planned the whole thing was, but I definitely regretted not having a camera with me.
