The room was...
Well, in a word, it was perfect. Just big enough, really, with a crib in one corner, a comfortable bed, a bathroom, and a closet. I didn't figure I'd need much in the way of clothes, considering I was broke and I had just about the clothes on my back, but it was nice anyway. I stored the Rod in the closet (set so as to be able to get out of the room should I need her) along with my goggles and plopped Kyle into the crib. It had a few toys that looked sort of familiar, as well as a baby monitor and a few other helpful necessities.
That Tim guy wasn't kidding when he mentioned they were family friendly here.
I gave Kyle a change of diaper, dropped my jacket on the bed and Kyle and I took a nice little nap. I woke up before he did, always a nice thing, and it was to the rumbling of my stomach. Thus did I shrug on my jacket, retie my boots, and rub my eyes. So up went Kyle, into my arms, and down went us, into the bar.
