So today I'm having a crown replaced (see
this post for the first half of the story. They are replacing the temporary that I'm currently wearing (which was itself a replacement for a badly done crown I had before which needed replacing) and I'm not looking forward to it. The last time, when I got the temporary crown put in, I was in pain for about a week and a half afterward. Mostly it was gum pain, but I also discovered that the tooth above the crown (which is on the bottom, in case that wasn't obvious) has a crack in it. Joy.
Anyway, the procedure for this will be much the same and I'll be in pain for a while again. And I'm sure they won't give me anything for it. I have Anbesol (generic though) at home, but that shit tastes nasty. I don't like being in pain.
It's going to be worse after Labor Day, when they start the process for the extraction and the partial denture plate. I can't believe at 39 that I'm getting dentures. It's sad. I had really good teeth before I got pregnant. Just one filling was all I ever had by 23. Then after the pregnancy, they started crumbling. Grumble.
