I'm off to teach the final class of my current painting class session in a few minutes but I figured I'd throw an update out there.
I went to the doctor on Tuesday and he's putting me on Lunesta (I have to pick up the Rx tonight) for sleep. We'll see how that works. Seroquel did nothing whatsoever. So little in fact that on my drive out to Arizona I went to take my evening meds one night--I have two seven day pillboxes, one for morning and one for evening--when I saw that that day's pills were gone! I looked at the morning box and sure enough, the pills were there! I'd accidentally taken my evening meds, including the Seroquel which was supposed to make me sleep, in the morning before driving all day. Never felt a thing. He started me at 100 and upped it to 200 and I still saw nada, so we nixed it to try the next thing. We'll see how the Lunesta works.
I met with a group of ladies who have formed a Jane Austen book club. This initial meeting was just a get-to-know-you sort of thing. The first actual talk-about-the-books meeting is next Monday, when we're discussing Pride and Prejudice which I'm still reading my way through. I borrowed one of the other ladies' DVD of the BBC production of it and watched that yesterday and today. It makes the book a lot easier to understand. Sometimes the language in the book seems almost too straightforward: so and so did this. This happened. Then this person did that. Then that happened. But lots of the time the text seems to go on for ages without getting to the point so that I forget what's happening while I'm waiting for it to happen. Also the language of the day is not quite familiar yet and so, for example, if I hadn't known that Mr. Collins was proposing marriage to Lizzy I'm not sure if it would have been obvious from what he was talking about until the point where she was refusing him!
This weekend is Halloween and we've got at least one, possibly two parties to go to. Whee! I love Halloween. I'm going as a gypsy again assuming the costume still fits. Which reminds me, I should try it on.
