Well that was quite a scare! (Insurance)
I got a phone call this morning* from the doctor's office. They were trying to get authorization for Botox to treat my TMJ. So I answer the phone and the woman says to me "they said your prescription coverage was terminated as of the end of June."
BUH--WHAT?!
My stomach hit the floor as my brain started mentally adding up the hundreds of extra dollars per month that this would cost us if we had to start paying for all of my medication. ACK! I didn't understand how it was that my insurance covered the prescriptions I picked up just yesterday if this was the case, but I figured maybe CVS made a mistake or something. Anyway, she told me to call Blue Cross Blue Shield member services and talk to them.
I did so, and thankfully it turns out that they just switched their prescription from one provider to another one at the end of June, and I am still covered after all. WHEW!
*arg! Will I never be able to actually finish sleeping? Once I'm woken up like that I tend to stay awake these days.
