Hmmm... not looking good *UPDATE*
Well, Ruby and I broke up. It was pretty sad. We are going to take a week off before we can talk to each other again. Its hard. Poor Ruby had to try and go to work today. I wouldn't have been able to do it. I think I will be okay by 5:00, though.
I also have surgery on my knee this Friday at 8:45, so I'll be out for a while. Probably a week. Not a lot to look forward to right now...
*UPDATE*
So now we are back together again. Ha ha. Man, I felt worse than I had ever felt before on Monday. I could hardly talk at work, I just tried to keep myself busy to not think about it as much. But the next day, Tuesday, I was feeling a little better, and was trying to get over it. After work on Tuesday, I found Ruby with her bike parked next to mine, and she asked if I wanted to be her boyfriend again. And of course I said yes.
But, man, that was bad. I never suspected that Ruby and I would ever break up, which might have been pretty naive of me, but its easy to be in a relationship if you are so blindly optimistic. I worry that this little episode might plant a seed of doubt in me, or that I will start putting my guard up against further devotion.
And, I saw the physical therapist yesterday, and I feel a lot better about the surgery and the recovery process.
