quick things
Hmm. Visited Ruby's dad and stepmom in Laingsburg again. Very fun. Climbed trees with Robin and Wren. I got to hold a garter snake! (Ruby has some good pictures)
Went to Emily and Baber's birthday/pirate party. Not too many people dressed up, but I was glad to see Stephen and Emily VERY dressed up. ha ha. Like good halloween costumes. I had brought my old stuffed animal cat Big Brownie there. Big Brownie is missing an eye, so I had made an eyepatch for him, pirate like. Sadly, however, he was misplaced somewhere during the evening and I couldn't find him anywhere. We all searched the house up and down, but no Brownie in sight. So I eventually had to go home without him. I hope he shows up soon. Kind of a downer; I've had that cat for 23 years now....
I was biking to work sat. and a guy on a bike rode up next to me and commented on my bike. So we talked about bikes a little while I was riding to work, and it was funny. I would like to do that with other bikers.
Biking back from work, a grackle actually swooped down and pecked my helmet! I didn't know they were THAT aggressive. There must be a nest near there, but I can imagine it would be a real pest to pedestrians.

Before Katy went home to NY, we bought her some soccer equipment for her birthday, and we played soccer at John Ball. Katy, Dan, Terry, Harvey, Brian, and I were all on the same team, and we actually won! ha ha. It was really fun, and it was good experience for Katy. She has a league she is on in NY with Alex. I would like to play with her again, or just to see her and alex play. I just need to get Ruby into it, again.
