another physical contest

Ruby started another contest in Africa a while ago. It was a sit-up/push-up contest. it went up by 5 everyday, and the two losers of it had to get tattoos. So I started in on it, but I've been pretty inconsistent with it. I finally decided to just stop at 100's of push ups and sit ups. I haven't even been doing them every day I should (they were taking the weekends off ont he competition). The sit-ups were actually surprisingly hard. I haven't done them in a long time. My back muscles got sore really quick. So, now, at 2:00 am, I should be doing 100 pushups and 100 situps. Probably won't do them.... maybe in the morning. Ha ha. Maybe its this warm weather that is soaking out my energy. ha ha. Well, if Ruby has been keeping up on all this, it will be quite interesting to see what she looks like when she comes back from Ghana.

Almost got in an accident the other day. I was speeding along downhill (which every biker likes to take advantage of), when I came to a 3-way street. I have to make a left at this intersection, and if no cars are coming, I don't have to stop my downhill momentum. As I approach my turn, I look right and there is a car, but I can make the turn before he gets there. I look left, and there is a car coming. I start to make a left turn anyway, because sometimes I can turn on the inside of the road and bike against traffic. but if the car turns right, then it would hit me. I realize this, and quick start to break. The back tires start skidding and swerving, so I lean backwards and put my foot on the ground and stop before the intersection. Luckily, I have never flown over the handlebars doing that before. It is a little scary, though. I think I need to just start slowing down at that intersection now. I haven't broken any bones in my life yet( just a head scar from long ago), so I think I'm doing pretty good.
