Anon got no email. Anon is pleased and hopes to be able to enjoy the meme to it's fullest now that her inbox won't get spammed anymore (as long as people actually move their discussions here). *hoping hoping hoping*

Frankly, if we no longer have to tolerate one or two people who seem to think they have a right to constantly shout everybody else down, that is great by me too.

I read it as a complaint about the people who have voiced their displeasure at having their in-boxes spammed with "discussion" posts. One anon threw a fit not too long ago when another anon asked for an off-topic "discussion" to stop.

It's interesting that you talk about "throwing a fit" when the one I have seen lose it most often on this meme is the person or persons trying to shut down the discussions.
I object to that more than any off-topic discussion. They are not the mod, and their idea of what the rules are and what is "too far" and what is "bashing" is not everyone's, and yet - assuming it is the same person - they have seen fit to impose themself again and again on conversations that are nothing to do with them.
From that person or persons, I've seen capslock and swearing, plain all-out rudeness of telling everyone to shut up, and not to mention flaming the fandom as a whole. I don't think anybody else has done that in any other context.
I hope that makes my position clearer. Said all I'm going to on this now.

"not to mention flaming the fandom as a whole"
You just made me too curious not to ask. How did they flame the fandom as a whole? I can't remember ever seeing that. And I don't mean this in a "UR LYING!" way, I'm honestly curious (because if they really did flame the entire fandom, I'd like to hear what they said so I can be properly offended).
I remember a kinda slapdown onetime of how someone used to think the One Piece fandom was the nicest in the world but now... and I can't remember exactly what it went on to say after that and I'm seriously scared to go looking for it. But basically we're all bastards. Actually, I knew that about myself already. Muuuahahahaha.
:D Haha, to believe that there's genuinely nice people on the internet is somewhat naive, but to think that an entire fandom can even come close to being "nice" is just crazy-talk.
Also, testing to see if everyone gets emails if you post here...
