Year in review
Yesterday was Bethany and I's firstest wedding anniversary ever. After looking back on the year, so much has happened that it's hard to belive it's only been a year!
January - Got married, yay! Bethany begins her internship at Borgeous
March - Escaped to Savannah for a weekend trip.
April - Bethany stops interning at Borgeous and begins working at a nursing home in Battle Creek
May - MITES competition in which my graphics students received huge state-level prizes. Interviewed with Okemos schools for a possible job.
June - Honeymoon to Spain in which we visit Barcelona, Balboa, and Burgos in a manual drive mini. Loads of fun! Summer break working for Jarvis again. Delton job in balance cuz they want me to teach year book and won't guarantee my current job. Tried to find a house and failed at the attempt. The very next day I get a call from East Grand Rapids.
July - interviewed for East GR job twice. waited a lifetime for an answer. Got the job at EGR, much rejoicing. Quit Delton. Bethany quits nursing home and find two great jobs in GR.
August - Moving from Kalamazoo to Grand Rapids within two weeks and beginning training for jobs. Begin church search
September - continue church search
October - put on schools' powder puff game. general teaching stress. found water's edge church, horray!
November - Bethany begins working at the hospital, lots of fun for her. Threw a big 30th b-day party for my sister.
December - Brother AND sister get back surgeries. Christmas craziness and new years' that followed. Trip to Chicago for anniversary.
Overall, this was a fun and crazy year, and it went by quickly at the end but slowly during it. Lots of milestones met and hopefully more to come in the next year. We miss people, but hopefully we'll see them more in this next year.
