highschool.
you've got friends.
you've got "friends."
and you've got the best friends that understand you to a T and never leave your side, even when you part.
dont change friends your senior year. dont try to become more popular. spend your last year celebrating with your true friends. you might not see them much longer.
you'll experience LOVE, HATE, and all of the extremes.
boys will break your heart.
girls will ruin trust.
but they really dont mean to.
dont be pessimistic during the bad or youll miss out on the parties, trips to mcdonalds, and late night phone calls.
you CAN have a social life and good grades.
you CANT have a big mouth and true friends. its just not a balanced equation.
its not about your social status, its about the memories you make with the friends you have.
brand names and price tags DONT matter. bullies exist, but they arent worth your stress.
you might not learn anything important from mr cavender but the conversations in his class are worth taking him all 4 years.
dont waste a minute of your summers. beach it up. everyday. they run out quick.
you dont have to obsess over drugs or drinking. you dont have to do it at all.
have fun without it. the people who can do that are the REAL life of the party.
everyone has pimples. and bad hair days. and bad moods. and lazy mornings. its life. live it.
you dont have to date around in highschool. having a boyfriend/girlfriend is not a neccessity, but if you find a special someone, hold on. highschool sweethearts CAN last.
i wish someone would have told me at least 5 of these things before i started highschool.
