The most wonder-full time of the year.

Had an Office Space moment yesterday morning. Just enough things went just enough wrong. I had to get out. So I told the boss I was going out to get "lab supplies" and got the hell out of there for about an hour. I did not go to the local theme diner and hit on Jennifer Aniston (eww). Instead I went to Jack in the Box and had a second breakfast. Mmmmmm. Greasy crossaint.

So mood tempered with grease, salt, and fizzy beverage (I do not like their coffee, so I got a coke instead) I returned to the office where I was pleased to discover that we were having the thanksgiving luncheon thing. My tummy barely had time to process the second breakfast before I stuffed it full of turkey and pumkin pie. I managed to achieve a rather pleasant streached state without making a total pig of myself in front of my coworkers. And when my stomach had finally relaxed a bit from the lunchtime binge, I wandered over to the breakroom to get a coke and what did my little eye spy? Some more of the pumkin pie left over from lunch. No whipped cream =( but I took a slice anyway >=)

After all this extra food, I was planning on a fairly light dinner when I got a call from D & G. They had some out of town freinds staying with them and wanted to know if I wanted to come out to dinner with them. Who am I to refuse such an excellent offer? While I was hoping that G would cook (he is an excellent cook and his wife's wasteline proves it), we decided it would be easier to just go out. We went to one of those soup and salad joints. It was great. I think PF, one of the out of towners, may be a bit of a feedee. Slightly pudgy in a very cute way and seemed to always be using food metaphores. I did not notice if she hit the buffet tables as much as everyone else, but she was the one that insisted on hitting the dessert table. We all left the restaurant quite stuffed.

I noticed in the shower this morning that I seem a little rounder that I was yesterday. I know that it is largely psychological but still, I like the feeling. Because I spent so much extra time in the shower, I was running late. Breakfast on the road. Weeeeee. I did not have anything to bring with me to drink, so I thought I would stop at the corner store and get a soda of some sort. While I was standing in line, I saw some yummy pastries. Is it nobler to resist temptation or avoid it? I dunno, but I have had two breakfasts two days running and it feels great.

When I got into the office I discovered that someone had brought in some homemade apple danishes. Yum.

Now I am really full. And thinking about lunch.
