Because I love this university so much, I'd like to give you a little insight on life as a student. In August, while most students were add/dropping, I was finally allowed to register for semester because my advisor would not do her job and advise me/remove my registration bar. So directly after coming home from the hospital where I watched my grandfather die, I had to worry about registering and grabbing any open classes available. As if that wasn't good enough, after registering, I was told my bill was due in 6 hours. Ok. Dead grandfather. No sleep for 72 hours. Registrar's office 3 hours away. I called the University, explained my problem, the little punk frat boy on the phone said "sux 2 b u ahahahahaha." It's ok, UT. Don't help me out even though I've never been late on a single payment in the 6 fucking awful semesters I've spent here. That would be too kind. I ended up reregistering every single day, struggling to grab any open classes in between all the fun I was having with the funeral and emotional breakdown, until I could get back to campus and run my tuition check by the office. Some stellar group of professors I had this fall, let me tell you. Now, this brings us to spring '07. I went to add/drop the other day/pay my tuition bill, and I find my EID has been "locked" due to too many incorrect log in attempts. Joy. Somebody is stalking me, I can't access my information, AND my bill is unpaid leaving me without classes yet again. So I follow the troubleshooting steps. I can apparently reset my identification if I simply follow instructions that will be emailed to me shortly. Great. One problem. Third-party sites aren't allowed access to the email server, and I NEED MY EID TO CHECK MY EMAIL, GENIUSES. Now that I've spent hours on the phone with ITS, they tell me they can't help me and that I need to go through the registrar's office. The number to the registrar's office has been busy for two days, until today. Today I've been on hold for 2 hours. Hook 'em.
