THE STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM SEARCH HAS BEGUN! I'm super excited about it, so far I'm just looking for programs, I'll probably have it narrowed down to 2 or 3 programs I really dig within the next month or so before my next meeting with my IA/study abroad advisor, at which point we will then discuss scholarships, grants, financial aid, etc. all that good stuff that I will definitely need when I go abroad. My advisor put me in contact with a student from unh, who was actually in my international affairs 401 class last fall, who is in Berlin right now (which is of course the ONLY place I will be going) and he's been pretty helpful. He has a blog that I read that just talks about his life in Berlin that is really sweet. I'm super excited, I can't wait to go, I wish I was there now. So far I really dig the NYU program and also the IES (international education of students) programs. Both are fairly expensive compared to what I pay for a semester at UNH. I'm on the look out for a few other programs as well, but nothing has caught my attention yet. the NYU program would be so nice, I'd stay in a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, living room and kitcen apartment in the center of downtown berlin and my classes would be taught to me in english. A lot of other programs are taught in german, but I think I could possibly handle that if It came down to it.
