Just saying...

Sometimes I do something so stupid, even I have to laugh about it. =P

EDIT FULL STORY

Okay, so shikou_mori had a meeting today that I followed him part way to. I was asked to hang out at the Starbucks on the corner a while when I got done exploring so I could work on some As he and I parted ways I decided to walk up the street a bit and see what there was to see. Of course the snow was coming out of every direction, up and down and eventually I became rather cold so I ducked into a mall of sorts in search of gloves (I'd lost mine yesterday).

Once gloves had been acquired, I thought to myself "Man, I really don't want to walk through all that snow. i find a map and notice that I've walked exactly two subway stops north of Rosedale (where we were). In my infinite wisdom I say unto myself, "You have this weekly pass, make use of it, stray from the cold and take the subway back!"

Okay, maybe it didn't quite go like that, but I saw the subway and went for it. Unlike the rest of the subway stations i'd seen around Toronto there were thick, scaled down versions of those big spinny door things you see to entrances of fancy office buildings and hotels.

I swipe my card thingamajig and walk into it only to...well... walk right into it. I swipe again thinking it didn't read the first time. Same thing. Lady behind me points out I have it backwards. Okay. Third time's a charm. It works. I push my way into the turnstile...

...Just about through I am jolted to a halt. I have forgotten one important thing before entering this death trap. The size of my backpack. The first thing that comes to mind is shikou_mori's sarcastic voice looming in the back of my head:

"Your backpack is so fucking big. Look, you're laptop is like a(Insert metaphor here)..."

The second thing that comes to mind is back up. My bag is strapped to my shoulders, I can't move, the majority of it is sticking out the other end, too big to fit through the little slot I've made for myself. So I turn on reverse only to find that these doors only go one way.

So here is chubby, lil Ook, stuck inside a turnstile door, backpack on one side anchoring her to the wall on the other and, it being 5pm ish, people are starting to back up behind me. After a bit of maneuvering and with some help of concerned/just wanting to get the fuck home Toronto folks, I wiggle out of my pack and fall through the other side while someone on the other end carries it through for me.

Embarrassed I grab my bag from the lady that helped me out, look around nervously and disappear for a couple stops worth of trains before headed back to where I needed to be.

Derp-de-durrrrrrrr Stupid American coming through =p I can't be left alone. It's not safe.
