May 18 Birthday
YOUR SIGN - Taurus
YOUR ELEMENT - Earth
YOUR RULERS - Venus, Moon, Saturn.

Astrological Birthday Features.

One of the influences associated with this May 18 Taurus birth date identifies with a person of considerable personal authority. As result, it is almost a certainty that a person born on this date will be very agreeable to the idea of their taking up, and of shouldering responsibility.

When they do take up and such areas of responsibility then they generally do so very successfully.

The May 18 birth date falls in conjunction with the star group of Pleiades and, under such influence, you can tend to be a very sensitive person when it comes to some matters in life.

As example you may suffer a difficult time when it comes to releasing and parting from some treasured or valuable object and/or a person whose time has come. The loss of a love partner or the loss of an opportunity in life.

Outwardly, the Taurus woman may appear relaxed and inactive, then all of a sudden she can shudder and a great eruption takes place.

The normal somewhat placid and caring nature of the Taurus girl should never be taken for granted. While she is in every way, a very loyal and resolute individual, she should never be deceived or betrayed.

This Taurus the Bull girl might be slow to erupt, but when she does, one does not want to be in the path of a powerful charging Bull..

Taurus is the personification of Mother Earth and a Taurus woman’s feelings are, like the richness of the earth’s bounty, buried deep within her philosophical sensitivity.

I should have brought my MP3 player. I had the strongest desire to walk tonight; thumbing at the tuner to find the perfect music to keep me on my toes--weaving in and out of crowded streets under neon signs and towering buildings.

The colors and people draw me in. I ignore everyone else. There are a few people that catch my eye. The interesting people.Joel is right, this city is full of beautiful people. I'm not one of them, but I do admire from a distance. Oh the interesting people.

I find city life fascinating. So many cultures and people attempting to co-exist. I've been comparing Van to Toronto since day one. Or rather, The reasons that I'm attracted to these cities.

Vancouver is a coastal mecca of arts and music. There was always something art related going on in Van. Music, theater, film...(My god I love performing arts) But most importantly was nature. Everything in Vancouver revolves around the outdoors. The mountains, the trails, the beaches, the trees, the clarity of mind over body. I'd hike the trails, climb about on the rocks and shore lines, get lost so close to home. Fitness was an obsession. But how could it not be? There were so many activities to do: rowing, hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, long boarding, roller blading, hockey, roller derby, curling, lacrosse, swimming, paragliding, skimboarding, ...etc etc etc...

The Van Vibe is Lackadaisical yet active.

Toronto, now, from the little I've been here has hit me as being quite similar on some fronts and total opposite on others. There is a huge focus here on the outward appearance of one's self. I think that's fine as long as it is a reflection of the person inside as well. This was my issue with fashion design students at AI--their lack of individuality. ...and then there's me with my lack of confidence in my own outward appearance. I've never been happy with myself and being surrounded by this vanity is actually quite overwhelming. However, that seems to be a fault more with myself then the city.

I have yet to feel this hostility that most people say exist in Toronto. In fact, most people have been quite friendly. Although I don't think they go as far out of their way as they might in Vancouver. I haven't been here long enough to know for sure. I haven't seen too much of the art scene yet so i have very little in the ways of a well formed opinion. other than the graffiti is fucking amazing here! i don't see much 'gang' graffiti. Mostly amazing artsy stuff. it's cool.

there's lots of sweet little shops and things to take a peek at here. I'd love to know more about their recreation activities. If there's any workshops I could get in on, any team sports, music classes... things to keep me active.

If I do land a job here I think i'll be quite happy. The only thing I lack is people to do things with. OH HEY! IT'LL BE JUST LIKE HOME BUT BETTER! things come in time. Even in Van I only started out with one friend.
