Brief Update
So, I got to make a globe the other day. It was pretty neat... a little hard glueing all of the pieces of paper onto the sphere, and some of it is a little crooked, but it's a nice memento. They're sending it to my place in Ohio... I can't wait to display it :)
I also got to meet a man from New Zealand who has been living in Japan for 18 years. He was a JET, and then managed to get a job with the Souka City Hall. He's been working there for 14 years. It was interesting to talk with him. His Japanese is perfect... He said he studied since age 17. He married during his stay in Japan as a JET, so he didn't have to go through all the problems that I may be faced with to try to live and work in Japan by myself. We'll see what happens, though.
