No puppies yet. My poor baby looks like she's going to pop. I've seen at least 2 puppies moving. Its kind of funny. She's be laying on her side breathing out and all the sudden there is a little pop out. Two of my friends from K9 search and rescue came over and where suprised at how huge she was. All 10 of her nipples have dropped but I'm still hoping for a smallish/normal litter of 4 or 5. She was from a litter of 9 and the sire's brother fathered two litters of 9 so there is a possiblility of a big litter. My dad was teasing Andrew about becoming a "dad". I wanted to point out that Andrew would be a "grandpa" and my dad would be a "great grandpa" but I didn't. I did point out to my mom that she would be a "great grandma" since she has issues with the whole being a grandma thing (she isn't yet of course but she has been coming up with different names grand kids can call her - I think she's going with Nana). It was funny - once Raven finally calmed down (she really just wanted me to be there) she just laid down and slept for a while. When she got back up I started reading an article to her on how she is suppose to be acting for giving birth. I was like "see, you are suppose to be panting heavily. Come on, you can do it." She just looked at me like I was an idiot. I love my little girl.
Anyway, I took a before pic of the Raven and will take puppy pics as soon as they arrive. At least we know there really are little ones in there.
Once they pups are born I will be asking for suggestions on nick names so that I don't have to call them pink, yellow, green, blue, pink-yellow, green-yellow, etc based on thier ribbons. I'm also going to have to help pick a name for the puppy my parents are keeping. So much to do but first the puppies need to arrive.
