Summer Fun and Geek stuff!
So I am so happy it's summer! Well for me it is...I have busted my ASS off the last year and a half in Nursing school and my LAST SEMESTER is upon my (this fall). I fear that jobs might be hard to come by when I do graduate, the hospitals are cutting labor and budgeting like crazy. I can hope and pray to the Gods. Besides people always need Nurses. Some things to consider about me: I pretty much dislike everyone in my class. They are all young, stupid and naïve...OR they are all married and rich and their husbands take care of them (which makes me question why they are in school at all?) None of them WORK and are complaining that we have to do 40 hrs of clinicals the last 3 weeks of the fall semester. Sometimes I wonder about some of the students...I wouldn't want them being my nurses. I was like "I have worked 40hrs a week since I was 15). Alas, Nursing school has made me pretty much GREY, so I have been dying my hair super-jean-grey-red. I had to have it all cut off last year because I fried it with highlights, so now no more blond and I am growing out to my butt! I miss all my long hair. I am excited to complete nursing school finally and have a real job, and get the hell out of my house. I want to move from my state eventually (when the kiddos start college).
In other news, I can't believe that through all the work and busy life I have still found time to write and be a part of LJ and now (squees) AO3. I have been writing for a very long time and I do believe I have been a part of Lj for 7-8 years now! Woah! Time flies. I have been writing FMA for like forever! I still do! I never going to drop the fandom. I look forward to writing this summer and reading all the cool things you guys write...
FYI: I am absolutely TERRIBLE at beta-ing my work, I try really hard but I have one eye that actually works. I get just as annoyed when I see errors in something really good. But know it's not intentional, if there is something point it out nicely (which all of friends do) I just wanted to point that out, considering I have been posting stories like crazy:)
